RINGETTE REF CLINIC INFORMATION

Important Referee Information – Ringette
  • Every official must take the appropriate clinic to be recertified and therefore able to ref next season. RA is scheduling ALL the clinics this year. Registration for same is all done online through the RA website link listed below. RA is determining where clinics are going to be held and how many, based on numbers from last year.
  • Zone 2 has been allocated one (1) Level 1 Clinic. The proposed day for a Zone 2 Lvl1 Clinic is Oct 15. Between our Associations we need to decide where same will be held.  Will require a room and 1-1.5hrs ice.  All clinics are registered for online and are first come first serve. There are 3 Lvl1 Clinics being held in Calgary on Sept 17 at the Village Square Leisure Centre and same is open for Zone 2 officials.  Twenty (20) is the participation limit for Lvl1 Clinics so please get your officials to register ASAP.
  • Officials who have not already attended and successfully completed a Lvl 2/3 or 4 Clinic are required to retake the Lvl 1 Clinic again in its entirety. Those officials who have attended and successfully completed a Lvl 2/3 or 4 Clinic may attend the Refresher Clinic, which will be about a 4 hr clinic with no ice time. If a Lvl 2/3 or 4 official is not available to attend the Refresher Clinic, he/she may attend the full Lvl1 again to retain their current carding level and be recertified for next season. A Refresher Clinic will be scheduled in Calgary but date is not yet finalized.
  • Please advise all your Association officials to register ASAP for the appropriate clinic. RA advised me – no recertification = no reffing.  Lvl 1 is $125 and Refresher is $50.

UFA BISON’S CLINIC

NOVICE, ATOM & PEWEE’S UFA BISONS CLINIC

The UFA Bison’s will be hosting a clinic for us on Dec 10, 2010 from 7-9pm.

This is a program that is extended to only one association per year and we were choosen this year.   This is a great opportunity for our kids and I would hope everyone can do their best to attend.    There will be hot dogs after they are off the ice as well.  We may need to help to cook them but that can happen that night as it is open to our Pee Wee team, Novice, and the few Atoms playing other places this year.

This is an overview of what will happen that night:

  • Focusing on the Novice & Pee Wee players (3 Atom players from area would be invited)
  • 2 hour workshop (1 hour instruction, 1hour scrimage)
  • Bisons’ players will teach skills clinic to players
  • Bisons’ coach will provide coach clinic to coaches and parents
  • Bisons’s had arranged for media coverage by the Strathmore Times
  • Rockyford Minor Hockey or Ag Society would cover ice time
  • Meet & Greet after the game with hot dogs (and fixings) being served

Please let me know if you can not attend  -  Pam Seeley (pamseeley@rockyford.ca)

Please distribute this e-mail ASAP please and thank you managers.
